You recall what happened last week? Lucius insisted on asking Marlogosia Starling to investigate whether these DogStar ruffians or someone else tampered with the Floo. Of course, you know I tried to let him let me call the Floo Board Authority myself, which would have been the end of it. Trust my loving husband to be thorough in his concern for my safety.
For I've just got home from Witch Weekly and learned that Marlogosia arranged to send a technician from the FBA to have a look. And the elves let him up to inspect the thing!
They're paying for their error, make no mistake. But the point is that his report is likely already on its way to Marlo. Or will be, soon enough.
Naturally, I can't go down to the FBA myself - it would be far too conspicuous. If only I'd been here, I should have Confunded him on the spot! I could hex Marlo for not letting me know either that she was sending anyone or when they planned to come.
Could you - that is, do you think you could come up with a plausible reason to go there, find this chap, tell him - I don't know, tell him Marlo sent you to see to it that the report reached her, and then ... make sure it says that he replaced a faulty grate?
You know I wouldn't ask like this if there were any other way - I can't even use your present with Crabbe's guards on the bell all the time.
Do say you can do something. Better still, tell me you've caught the blasted traitors responsible for this whole miserable 'additional security' mess!

Strongly suspect the inspector skived off the remainder of his workday after his trip out there.
In any case, to be clear, I brazened it out and went straight to Starling to ask after that report. I'm consultant on your stalking case, so that much was fine. Could have been awkward if the report had already been read and filed and then I turned up asking after it, but that wasn't the case. So yes. Told Starling I'd see we get that report first thing.
And I will do. You may trust that I'll be waiting in FBA when he arrives in the morning.
As for your other request. Soon, soon, soon.
