Oct. 1st, 2011 02:54 pmI believe that most of the communities in Our Lord's land were simply waiting for the page of the calendar to turn to October: It seems there are almost as many Harvest Festivals this month as there are settlements. Perhaps more. And it seems each of them has some sort of pageant or competition with need of judges. Now, I couldn't possibly preside over them all, so I'm looking to the WI to help meet the demand. Please contact Miss Poddington if you have an interest.
Selma, thank you again. The evening was most entertaining. I don't think Lucius or I shall ever see conifers in quite the same way after viewing your guest's exhibit.
For the remainder of the weekend, my husband and I shall be seeing his sister settled in her home of the next several months. (Mr Munroe, our thanks again for accommodating her simple request so graciously.) Of course, the Munroes removed several of their favourite pieces for their own comfort, as is only right, so we shall be providing Mme Froissart with the necessary items to ensure that she may entertain as she wishes. I daresay she shall feel quite at home in no time. It's been such a pleasure having her for an extended visit but I quite understand her desire to live closer to Hogwarts once her husband brings his charges there.
And speaking of which, congratulations are due, I understand, to the delegations themselves, for having been selected to vie for the Championship. I'm sure we are all just as excited as the students by the prospect of this tradition being revived, and on Our Lord's own soil. I hope that the Young Protectors' League activities will make every effort to include our visitors. I'm sure that the Sisters in Witchcraft, of which there are a few new members this year, would be happy to invite any qualified young ladies, and I don't doubt that Master Gibbon feels the same regarding the Brothers in Wizardry.
Diana, I've not forgotten our engagement tomorrow. I shall be there, darling, never fear.
