I know it's frightfully last-minute, but Lucius has just owled to say he's unable to go with me to the symphony tonight. Something about a complication - though nothing to worry about, I'm sure. Rod, he found Raz in very good spirits, you'll be happy to know.

Are either of you interested in accompanying me? I could go alone, of course, but that seems uncivilised - and unnecessary.

If either of you hurry, we could get there before the end of the first movement.
