Ilmington turns out to be quite a charming corner of the Cotswolds. Barty, it's too bad you decided not to return after you and Lucius jaunted off to inspect the camp; later in the afternoon we wandered down to the Guildhall in Warwick and found quite an excellent museum of Renaissance sculpture. And we discovered that there's a lovely restaurant just south of Warwick Castle: Vinefera. I could have sworn we knew all the quality establishments for three counties but we were quite pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations again to Ilmington's gardeners, farmers and industrialists. It's clear that Warwickshire has its priorities straight with regard to bringing wealth and plenty to the Protectorate. It was a pleasant diversion and a lovely day. And Mr Malfoy and I also wish to publicly thank Mr and Mrs Sewell, who were so kind as to play host and hostess in Mr Sewell's capacity as the Head Administrator of the Hatten camp. I understand the inspection of Hatten that Mr Malfoy and Auror Crouch conducted was highly successful.

Amanda, you'll be going up to Hogwarts tomorrow to meet Étienne, I assume? Lucius was trying to decide if he'd accompany Minister Fudge or not. I suppose it depends on whether we get back from the Symmons' reception at a reasonable hour. The delegations are due in at 6:00, isn't that right? Perhaps he'll see you there. If not, surely we could come and get supper in Hogsmeade one evening. Or you could show us all the things you've discovered about Kelso - if there is anything there to be seen!
