Cressida, wanted to mention again how good it is to hear that Hieronymous is enjoying his retirement from the Prophet. It's always lovely to know, when one leaves a successful career to spend time with family, that the family are, in fact, spending time together and finding the arrangement satisfactory.

As always, ladies, our card party was most agreeable. I'm glad we've added Amanda, Chloe, Daisy and a few others to our numbers, as additional partnering always makes for a more interesting afternoon. Mariah, dear, thank you for playing hostess this time - it should have been an utter disaster otherwise, given all the events of the last week. Oh, and Ursula, the pictures were adorable! No doubt he'll be a heartbreaker just like his Papa. I cannot wait to see him at play with Rigel and the other little ones. Soon enough, to be sure!

Now, for lunch tomorrow, are we quite settled on Alhambra? Amanda, are you joining us? I know that Mariah has an appointment at 2 so we shall be sure to be done before then.

I must say I look forward to returning to more routine diversions. These last weeks' excitement have been most unwelcome.
